This winter and spring we are studying the book of James in a
quest to answer life's toughest "how to" questions regarding the
faith. This Wednesday night we deal with how to deal with...and
defeat...temptation. James has much to say on the topic, and we all
could use the refresher James 1:12-18 gives us.After another delicious Wednesday
Night Fellowship Meal, join us in the Sanctuary for this time of
worship and Bible study as we learn together
"How To" take on life, Biblically. We hope to see you

Medical Response Team
The First
Baptist Trussville Health & Wellness Ministry is forming an
Emergency Medical Response Team. Volunteers are sought to
serve during church service times and special events. Non-medical
& medical volunteers are needed.

Relief Training
February 11th
6:00pm Lakeside Baptist Church
Southern
Baptist Disaster Relief training will take place on Thursday,
February 11th from 6:00pm until 8:30pm at Lakeside Baptist Church.
The cost is $45 per person, covering certification, materials and
background check. If you would like to go and help with Haiti
Earthquake Relief as a part of the Southern Baptist Team, you must
have certification. The registration cost may be paid at
the door.

Small Group Ministry Sunday
February 21st
Webster defines impact as "a significant or major effect" or "the
force of impression of one thing on another." By definition, our
small group Bible teaching ministry of Sunday School impacts lives
every week. Gods Word always has a significant effect or impression
on lives. His Word never returns void.
On Sunday, February 21st the
Sunday School ministry will experience IMPACT NOW. On that Sunday,
we encourage every small group member and regular attender to be
present. We believe Gods people coming together can make an impact
for Him in our church and community.
Make your plans now to be a part of
IMPACT NOW. Expect God to impact our lives as we seek to be an

campus this Sunday, DivorceCare will take place as scheduled.
DivorceCare takes place Sunday at 5:45pm in CLC 202, with
DivorceCare for Kids starting as well in CLC 208. This is an incredible program to help those dealing with the pain and realities of

Team Impact
February 17-21 At
FBCT
 Witness
the strength, power and testimony of Team Impact. Team Impact will
be in area schools during the day February 17-21, appearing at First
Baptist Trussville in the evenings. An impactful event for the whole
family.
Please consider taking an active part
of this incredible event that will change lives throughout our area.
Help is needed in the following areas:
Prayer Team. You will be given
specific areas in which to pray.
Promotions.
Assist with the
distribution/ packaging of promotional pieces or promote this event
in your business.
Materials. Assist with
supplies for assemblies and/or evening events; prep stage for
nightly feats of strength.
Altar Response. A friendly
face to new Christians, distributing packets of information and
filling out decision cards.
Follow up. Help new Christians
connect with a church, assist with letter writing, emailing, phone
calls and other possible avenues for follow up.
Greeter. Serve as a parking
lot greeter or in-house greeter for each event.
Usher. Needed for each evening
event, help our guests find a good seat.
Assemblies.
Prep schools for
assemblies and transport the athletes.
