“The heavens praise Your wonders, O LORD, Your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones.” Psalm 89:5

Wonderful. Amazing. Miraculous. What images do these words bring to mind? These words remind us of when our girls experienced something new for the first time. With wide eyes, open mouths, and cheers of joy, their reactions always made us giggle. Reading this verse reminds us that God’s work is amazing, miraculous and worthy of praise. So many incredible ways we see God move as He speaks through His word, the beauty of creation and the love of his people. For this we praise Him.

Faithfulness. Who comes to mind when you consider this word? We think of those who worked hard, who didn’t give up, who have kept their word. We can’t help but thank God for His faithfulness to our family. He’s forever faithful to love us, to provide for us and how to handle situations in our family life. Forever He is faithful.

As Christmas approaches, we are reminded in Luke 2:10 “But the angel said unto them.’ Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.” We see God’s faithfulness to provide a savior for ALL people through the miraculous, wonderful, amazing event of the birth of Jesus. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.” Jesus came to bring joy! What ways will you seek Jesus in a new way this Christmas season praising Him for his faithfulness and amazing, wonderful work in your life? With whom can you share Jesus’s love?

Thank you God for giving us the chance to know you and see you at work. Help us to be mindful this Christmas as we consider how you are working in us and through us. God, help those that are suffering. Comfort them God that they may know your present and faithful to give help in times of need, and JOY where there seems to be none. We love you and thank you for sending Jesus.
