“Though you have not seen Him, you love Him: and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.” 1 Peter 1:8
In our busy lives with kids in school, our careers, extracurricular activities, church and social events….life can be exhausting. There are days when the alarm clock goes off and in that moment we can choose to either be angry because we have to get up or we can chose Joy because we are blessed to get up. I’ll be honest, there are some days when I don’t choose Joy and it can ruin an entire day. When I do choose Joy my entire day is filled with a completely different light. My responses to the days activities are filled with the hope that only comes from Jesus.
In Romans 15:13 God promises to fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we will abound in hope by the Holy Spirit. Did you catch that? That spirit of joy can be ours in Christ Jesus. This Christmas season let’s all choose to find Joy in our Father who is in Heaven, and spread that Joy to all we come in contact with.
Heavenly Father, I ask You fill my days with Joy! Allow me to seek You and see Your presence in my life. Fill my heart with Your unimaginable and glorious joy. Allow me to be salt & light to others and be an impact to Your Kingdom. I pray this in precious name of Jesus. Amen
