Lanette is a watercolor artist & illustrator based out of Trussville, Alabama. Her art journey began at a young age & was nurtured by her mother who has a degree in Fine Arts. She completed one year of Fine Arts in college before changing her major to Healthcare Sciences which was another strong interest in her life. She continued her own self-training & practice of watercolors & other creative practices as a side hobby during her 28 year career in the clinical laboratory.

Lanette was approached to teach her first watercolor class at a local bookstore in 2024 & found it to be the most unexpected joy in her art career! “I love seeing a novice artist come to one of my classes & leave feeling confident that they can create art & have a great time doing it too!” Lanette believes that our Creator was very intentional as He created each & everyone of us to make us unique & beautiful.

Lanette attends FBCT where she loves to serve & to also learn through her beloved small group, discipleship classes, & worship services. Lanette is married (recently celebrating 25 yrs) & they have two sons, one a senior in high school & the other a graduate school student. She has called Alabama home for 33 yrs. In her free time, she loves to try new creative outlets, cook, travel, & shop for vintage treasures.
