Costa Rica Day 6
I can’t believe we are already here- the last day! We ended our trip with a fantastic day zip lining and going to the riverbed. This morning, we headed out to go zip lining, and the kids had a blast! We will have some of those photos on the blog for you to see. After that, we came back to the hotel to eat PB&Js and headed out to a church a few blocks down to learn about the riverbed.
Pastor David shared his testimony with us and gave us a little background and what to expect when going to the riverbed. Once we got to the riverbed, the kids carried in all the materials for the two beds we were delivering. We split up into two groups so that each kid would have the opportunity to deliver a bed to a child, and it was such an impactful time for everyone. The children receiving beds were so grateful and excited, and the parents were so so thankful. We were also able to give each family we delivered a bed to a bag of food that should last them a month, as well as a Spanish Bible. Our kids were so bold and stepped up to share the Gospel with these families and others in the riverbed, and we saw three adults accept Christ today! Praise the Lord! He has been so faithful to us this week and has truly changed each and every one of us. It has been an honor to serve Him beside these students this week, and we cannot wait to see how He will use them in the future.
Thank you for all your prayers this week. God has answered our prayers and done more than we could have imagined. He is so good! Please pray for safe travels home tomorrow, and for this trip to have a lasting impact on not only our kids, but the people of Costa Rica.
