England Day 3

It has been another great day here in England! Today’s update is brought to you from some of your students (see below). They broke up in groups this morning at King’s Church to serve in a handful of different ways. After lunch, the whole group started the Camp of Champions sports camp, and we had about 25 kids show up! The students did an amazing job leading their groups and starting Gospel conversations with the kids. Keep reading to hear their perspective on the trip so far!

“Lilly, Ella, and I got to serve in the kitchen/coffee bar area today and it was awesome! We got to have so many cool interactions with people by serving them coffee, while also getting to bake some cakes for the kitchen to serve!! England so far has been such an eye-opening experience to just see how great and how big our God truly is. He is working in the details. The Spirit was so heavy in Sunday morning church, and just getting to see people truly on fire for the Lord amongst spiritual darkness around them was so inspiring!!” - Grace Owens

"We served the church today by working in the furniture scheme, building a bunk bed, and helping sort, fold, and hang clothes as well as help with putting stuff on shelves. I also helped lead team England at camp of champions and dominated that. Had great conversations with the kids in our group; hoping we can impact them and get deeper over the next couple of days.” - Noah Williams

“We built some bunk beds with the furniture scheme at church which brings in money for events they want to do and to keep the church running, prepared some beds for free delivery for people who’ve bought them already and sorted and organized in their furniture scheme to have things easily accessible for people to find and buy. It’s super evident here that people know of the Lord but don’t know the Lord and it’s super convicting to talk to people and try and share Christ with them, but facing rejection here isn’t outside of the ordinary. We saw some kids after dinner that were locals and pushed away the conversation me and a friend started when we said if they knew about Jesus and they started talking about other things. Super excited for some more time with our team at Camp of Champions and hope to teach them more about Jesus and hopefully start a snowball effect in their lives.” - Caleb Williams

“In the morning we went to a church to do some needed work there. I constructed and deconstructed some beds and helped organize a couple of bookshelves. We then traveled to the park and hosted the 1st day of the camp of champions. I met some fun kids that have many deep questions about who Jesus is. I can’t wait to be an impact in these kids lives in the upcoming days.” - Alex Jones

"Robin, Keri, Isabella, and I worked in the food bank at Kings Church today. We got to meet so many people in that area and they were so nice and helpful. We made baskets for families and individuals and stacked them together. We also sorted different foods, drinks, and other various items they had. They organized their food bank based off of expiration date so that they can get food out to people before they expired. They had tables with food ready to serve and home items that they can choose from! We had the best time and we were so happy to be able to bless the church in the food bank!!" - Ashlyn Box

Thank you again for all your prayers. Please pray for continued healing for our students and leaders who are not feeling well, and for the people we meet this week to have their eyes and ears opened to hear the Gospel.
