Ministries at FBC Trussville exist to help people grow in faith and live out the Gospel daily. We equip every generation through discipleship, service, and community to follow Christ and make an impact.
Chris Chambers
Minister of Missions & Pastoral Care
Chris was born in Collierville, TN, living all over the Midwest before joining the First Baptist staff in 1999. Chris met his wife Michelle in Kansas City, MO, and the two later moved to Shawnee, OK to attend Oklahoma Baptist University where he majored in Church Music. He attended Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary before moving to Trussville. Marrying in 1985, Chris and Michelle have three adult children, two daughters and a son. They welcomed their first grandchild in 2023. Chris enjoys traveling and watching football in the Fall.

James came back on staff at First Baptist in August 2023. He previously served here for almost 20 years as Minister of Education. He grew up in Sylacauga where he graduated from B. B. Comer High School. James is also a graduate of Auburn University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. James and his wife Shirley have two children: Amy (Jeff), and Alan (Dina), who are also members of First Baptist. They enjoy spending time with their nine grandchildren, working in their yard, fly-fishing, and experiencing the beach whenever possible.

Beth and her husband, Greg, are the proud parents of three sons—Noah, Cade, and Pate. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time outdoors, and has a lifelong passion for music.
