Rachel DickeyRachel joined our staff in the winter of 2019. She originally hails from Grapevine, Texas, but an opportunity to play volleyball led her across country to UNC-Asheville where she later graduated with a business degree in 2011.
While at school in North Carolina she met her husband Matt, who played basketball there. Matt’s roots here in Trussville eventually led them back home, and that’s why we get to be blessed by Rachel today! She and Matt have three active sons together! Matt is our Minister to Middle School Students.
When she’s not busy directing the Preschool ministry, Rachel loves spending time with her family and friends, and watching movies and playing volleyball when she has time.
Beth WilliamsBeth devoted 16 wonderful years to teaching music at the Wee Center, a role she held close to her heart. A proud graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School, she has been an active member of First Baptist Church Trussville since 1989.
Beth and her husband, Greg, are the proud parents of three sons—Noah, Cade, and Pate. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time outdoors, and has a lifelong passion for music.
Kelsey WalkKelsey began with the student ministry in the fall of 2014. A Trussville native, Kelsey grew up at First Baptist. She began her time on staff with us as the Student Ministry Assistant, but her love for preschoolers and enthusiasm soon made her the obvious choice to take over at Director of Preschool Ministries.
A product of Hewitt-Trussville High School, Kelsey graduated from Auburn in Human Development and Family Studies, later marrying her high school sweetheart, Matt Walk in May of 2014.
She loves the outdoors, hiking and snow skiing in-particular, and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and worshiping Jesus!
Alicia SissonAlicia grew up in Trussville and has lived there her entire life. She and her husband Mike were married in 1994 and have 3 children.
When she is not busy keeping things running smoothly in the Preschool and Children's ministries, she loves spending time with her family and friends, and loves to travel and see new places! She is also a big Alabama fan. Roll Tide!

Lida WeaverLida grew up in the small town of Greensboro, Alabama. She attended Auburn University where she received a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education. She taught special education for 7 years before being called home to start a family. Lida met her husband through friends at FBCT and they have 3 boys, Sam, Drew and Jack! She currently teaches 3k at WEE Center and loves traveling and reading in her free time.
