Mike grew up in Oneonta and married his high school sweetheart (Marleen). They have been married for 40 years and currently live on Pine Mountain. They have two daughters and one grandson.

Mike graduated from UAB in 1986 with a BS in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. During his career his jobs have been in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing and Administration. He has also served as a bi-vocational Music Director at several churches in the surrounding area.

He enjoys cooking, grilling, using the smoker, and working in his yard. His hobby is weight training at the gym.
