Costa Rica Day 4

Today has been so much fun! We started our trek down the mountain this morning around 7:30, and we just arrived at our hotel in Jaco around 8:00 pm. On the way to Jaco, we made a few pit stops at different places for the kids to explore and see more of the country. Our first stop was a 300 foot waterfall, with rocks to jump off of and places to swim. Once we left there, we headed to the beach to swim, play ultimate frisbee, and do a little souvenir shopping! We then loaded up the bus to head to dinner at a place called El Lagarto. We ate great food and watched a gorgeous sunset over the water. The kids had a blast at each of our stops today, and they were such troopers riding in the bus for a total of around 6.5 hours down the mountain.

We have just gotten settled in and prepped for tomorrow. Please be praying for us as we help lead another block party, visit the riverbed, and attend church at Pastor Carlos’s church tomorrow night. Pray for courage, boldness, faith, and for our hearts to be tuned to God’s voice. Please also pray for continued health and safety of our group. We are so thankful for the prayers you have all poured over us this week; God has been so faithful in answering those prayers and moving in ways we never dreamed. As we head into our last day here, we continue to pray that we would be a light in the darkness here in Costa Rica, and that we would be obedient to whatever God calls us to do!
