Costa Rica Day 3

Wow! There are no words to describe today. God continues to show up each day and absolutely amaze us. We began the day back at our work sites, and hosting another block party. The group working on putting in ceilings saw the young couple whose house we are working in come to know Christ; praise the Lord! After lunch, we had the incredible opportunity to buy some grocery essentials for four families and deliver them to their houses. Each set of groceries cost us $36, which would take months of wages and which will feed their families for a month. While delivering the food, we got to sit down with the families and talk to them about Jesus. In one of the houses, Meredith Willingham led the discussion, and was able to walk with a woman through receiving Christ! Every single one of these kids have gone out of their comfort zone this week to share the Gospel, and it has been amazing to see them step out in faith.

After delivering food and praying with families, we headed down the mountain a bit to go on a coffee tour and grab pizza for dinner! Once we got back to our hotel, we sat down together and shared what God had done in each of our groups today. So many of the kids spoke about how tangible the Holy Spirit has been this week, and how powerful prayer has been in fighting against spiritual warfare. Matt Mullinax then shared his testimony with the group, which was absolutely incredible. This sparked so many amazing conversations and breaking down of walls within our group, and again we saw and felt the Spirit with us.

From things as little as a verse popping up multiple times to as big as salvation, God has been with us every moment, and it is so incredibly evident to all of us here. Thank you all so much for your prayers, and please continue to pray for us and for the Spirit to continue to move. Tomorrow we will head down the mountain to Jaco, stopping at a few fun spots for the kids to see on the way! Please pray for safety as we make the long drive down, as well as continued health and energy for our group. Above all else, pray that we would be a light in the darkness here in Costa Rica, and that we would be obedient to what God calls us to do. We cannot wait to see what else God has in store for us this week!
