Memphis Day 2

Day 2 in Memphis was another great opportunity to intentionally love on and share Jesus with kids in two different locations. Our Bible club site this morning went fantastic! The Bible story our students taught today was about Jesus washing the disciples feet and they even illustrated that by using wet wipes to clean the hands of each of the kids at their station. They thought about cleaning their feet, but we determined that was weird, HAHA! This show of love really connected the story to the kids and they left with a simple message: we are called to serve others out of love just like Jesus served us out of love.

This afternoon we got to do a soccer club with a different neighborhood of kids. Some of our soccer stars—Alan, Kate, and Titus—got to show off their soccer skills to the kids! This club provided us with more opportunities to share the love of Jesus with kids. In fact, Kaitlyn Mewbourne shared the Gospel emoji bracelet with one of the kids, and she did so well at explaining it that he came up and explained it all to Mr. Matt who he clearly thought needed the Gospel😉.

The students are looking forward to another great day at our Bible club site tomorrow and then spending the afternoon and evening doing some fun things around Memphis. Thank you for your prayers! The students are working hard, loving on kids, and having fun!

"Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.” Colossians 1:29
