The Invitation

This Sunday we focus on Jesus, the Gate for the Sheep

"I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture." John 10:9

In His teaching, Jesus often used metaphors to describe Himself to His followers. A master communicator, He used illustrations that they understood and knew well in order to cement in their minds exactly who He was: God. He left no stone unturned, He left nothing vague or to the imagination. He is God, and there is only one way to Him.

So far in our study we've seen Him described as the Bread of Life, and the Light of the World; this Sunday we turn to John 10:7-9, seeing Him describe Himself as the Gate...the only Gate...that leads to salvation.
