Ministries at FBC Trussville exist to help people grow in faith and live out the Gospel daily. We equip every generation through discipleship, service, and community to follow Christ and make an impact.
Lessons are offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:00-8:30 PM, and Wednesday 1-5:30 PM, depending on each instructor’s teaching schedule.
Tuition includes individual or group lessons and any required materials fee.
Fall semester - 16 week commitment
Spring semester - 16 week commitment
Summer semester - 6 week commitment
The Fall and Spring semesters are 16 lessons long. Families can choose between paying in full or four monthly payments. Students who register mid-semester will receive a pro-rated tuition plan. Most students begin with 30 minute lessons. Teachers may later recommend for intermediate and advanced students, a 45 minute or 60 minute lesson. The cost of lesson books is not included in monthly tuition and is communicated by each instructor individually. For Art classes, there may be supply fees, in addition to the tuition.
Registration Fee
The registration fees are per semester - ACTIVE will charge an approx 6% processing fee on all lessons, supply fees and merchandise you have in your cart. This is in place of a Conservatory registration fee.

Group Lessons: Art - prices vary depending on the number of weeks and length of the class
Children’s Art Classes - 8 week session: $260 for 60 minute group classes or $72/month for 4 months. $20 art materials fee.
Intro to Watercolor Art Class - 6 week session: $215 for 90 minute group class or $54/month
Lil' Piano Pals & Voice Group - 15 weeks (limit of 4 kids per class): $375 for 30 minute group classes or $93.75/month for 4 months.

Once the ACTIVE processing fee is paid, monthly payments for Fall & Spring will be:
30 minute lessons: $132/month
45 minute lessons: $198/month
60 minute lessons: $264/month
Payment Plans for Tuition
Plan A: Full tuition paid upon registration. You can pay by debit or credit card online.
Plan B: An automatic monthly payment plan, set up through ACTIVE where the semester’s cost is split into 4 payments, made on the 8th of each month (August - November, or January - April). This monthly payment will be an automatic secure charge to the debit or credit card of your choice. Remove - The first payment is due at the time of registration along with the $30 registration fee. When you register on ACTIVE, you will pay your deposit and then choose whether to pay in full or set up monthly payments.

Tuition Discounts
Multi-Lesson Discount: For a student taking two or more lessons, each additional lesson is discounted 10%.
Sibling Discount: We offer a 10% discount toward the tuition of each additional family member in the same household.
NOTE: Only ONE discount per student is allowed.
Financial Obligations
Prior to the first week of the semester, the total tuition is due or you must be enrolled in our monthly payment plan.
Tuition payments and fees paid are non-refundable in whole or in part, except in extenuating circumstances such as hospitalization or moving out of the area.
If the student discontinues his/her participation in the program, payment is still due in full for the remainder of the semester.
Enrollment is for the entire semester. We understand that life happens and occasionally there will be extenuating circumstances that keep a student from finishing out a semester. Contact the Conservatory Assistant on our policy.
Late Payment Provisions
If a student’s account balance is delinquent, the Conservatory may, in its discretion, deny further participation in Conservatory classes and events until the account is current or until alternative payment arrangements are mutually agreed upon.*
*The Conservatory may, in its sole discretion, consider extenuating circumstances and allow a student to discontinue lessons without penalty or further financial obligation.
Withdrawals & Refunds
No adjustment of charges or refunds will be made in the case of withdrawal after the semester begins. A student should not register for lessons or classes if he/she believes there may be any scheduling conflicts. Failure to attend classes does not constitute withdrawal. Prolonged illness, loss of job, or moving away from the Birmingham metropolitan area are the only considerations for tuition refunds and adjustments.
